Nicki Minaj to Make Solo VIDEO MUSIC AWARD Performance Debut, 8/24
Billboard.com reports that Nicki Minaj will make her first solo VMA performance at the 2014 VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS, airing Sunday, Aug. 24 on MTV.
Minaj will perform her single "Anaconda," which dropped on August 4th. The track is featured on her upcoming album, The Pink Print, which will be released later this year.
Minaj has previously performed "Girl on Fire" on the 2012 edition of the show, alongside Alicia Keys. In 2012, she received a VMA for Best Female Video with "Starships" as well as a Moon Man in 2011 for Best Hip-Hop Video for "Super Bass."
Also set to appear on this year's telecast are Usher, Ariana Grande, 5 Seconds of Summer and Maroon 5. In addition, Beyonce will receive this year's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. The honor has been previously given to Jackson, Madonna , Peter Gabriel, R.E.M., Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.
The VMAs will be telecast at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Aug. 24 from The Forum in Los Angeles.
