Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As with your favorite Broadway stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with Paul Anthony Stewart, who is starring as 'Don Kirshner' in Beautiful- currently playing at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

My parents took me to ANNIE. I remember being surprised to witness my mother sobbing while the red-haired orphan sang "Maybe Far Away" (as she imagines her birth parents). After the show, my mother revealed to me that she was adopted. I was struck by the power of theater to elicit such a powerful emotional response from another person, enough to draw out a long-held family secret. #memories

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

When I'm in the wings right before my first entrance in BEAUTIFUL, I like to do a little private dance while the company is performing the big 1650 medley. #dork

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

Last summer, I was playing Fred in KISS ME KATE and I developed acute laryngitis right at the beginning of a sold-out performance. I had no understudy so I navigated through the show missing an entire section of my vocal range. Scary and definitely memorable. #thenecessityofunderstudies

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

George in SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE. #dreams

Who is your Broadway crush?

Jessie Mueller #duh
