The chance to enter the ONE NIGHT STAND contest ends at midnight tonight and tomorrow is the last day to cast your vote!

The phenomenal backstage documentary ONE NIGHT STAND is available on DVD and as a digital download on Vimeo and Amazon Instant and fans have the chance to make their own appearance as part of THE 24 HOUR MUSICALS event thanks to the current fan video submission contest now available to enter, with an extension until midnight on February 28 recently confirmed and voting ending at 11 PM on March 1.

Director Elisabeth Sperling exclusively shares of the excitement surrounding the contest and its impressive international reach, "The contest has gone viral worldwide-we have voters in 603 cities, from all over North America, as well as Europe, South America, Australia, South Africa, and China. We're just missing Antarctica, but who knows? We have a whole day left! Only the top ten contestants with the most votes will go before the judges, and it's a close race. A young woman wrote and sang an original song with a ukulele, and she suddenly shot into the top 10 this week; a funny, talented, energetic high school student entered two days ago and is now at #13; and a fire dancer with an operatic voice is climbing the chart as well. Plus there are several wonderful performers who are moving up slowly and could still take off. We don't know what's going to happen-it's a real nail-biter. Aside from the competitive aspect, there's tremendous positive feeling all around. Performers are getting a huge rush out of the simple act of putting themselves out there, and theater artists are commenting and tweeting to support these actors. And it's perfect, because that's what The 24 Hour Musicals and the movie One Night Stand are all about. I think everyone will end up feeling good about it, whether or not they win. We're so happy that aspiring actors and their fans are discovering our film-we hope they find it hilarious, heartfelt and inspiring."

Previously, Sperling offered earlier this week, "Update on the contest, with only a few days left to go! It's been so much fun for us to be on the receiving end of the talent, joy, energy and good humor from all the entrants! One actress wrote an original song about Purell, in a tribute to the movie, and is currently just hanging on to the #10 spot. A super-talented high school student entered yesterday and already has 179 votes. A fire dancer entered recently and is racking up the votes as well. Yes, a fire dancer. Who will be in the top ten by the end of March 1? YOU DECIDE! You can vote once a day through March 1. Join the fun!"

Last week, Sperling shared the exciting extension announcement exclusively with BroadwayWorld, stating, "Due to the popularity of the contest and the mini-series premiering on BroadwayWorld, the sponsors of the Audition Contest have decided to extend the entry deadline to February 28 at midnight ET. With participants from all parts of the U.S., the contest has attracted tremendous talent and wacky humor, from polished professionals as well as young hopefuls, together with outpourings of loving support from family and friends in the voting and comments. Producers are also putting out a call for the general public to vote for their favorite entries and comment at this link: http://bit.ly/ONSvoting. Voters can cast one vote per day until March 1.
