Harlem Stage, in partnership with Ay Ombe Theatre, presents the final tenth anniversary performances of Josefina Báez's acclaimed one-woman show, "Dominicanish," directed by Claudio Mir.

Mixing non-linear texts, dance, live music by trumpeter Ross Huff, and spoken word, "Dominicanish" is a cross-cultural work about the flow and movement of people and language.  A testament to the piece's universality, Báez has performed it internationally since its inception in November 1999. Her final performances in New York caps a 10-year journey with the show to New Zealand, the Dominican Republic, Finland, Peru, and Australia, among other countries.

Báez is a performer, writer, artistic director of Ay Ombe Theatre, and creator of Performance Autology© (a biography-based theatre methodology). Claudio Mir is an actor, writer, director, musician and visual artist.

Performances of "Dominicanish" at the Harlem Stage Gatehouse are part of a multidiscipline celebration of the work (which Báez also published as a book), including the visual art exhibition "OM is 10" (through November 30th) and "Dominicanish Dialogue" panel discussions on November 7, both at Rio Gallery.

"Dominicanish" will run November 6 and 7 at 7:30pm and November 8 at 3pm at the Harlem Stage Gatehouse.  Tickets are $20 if purchased in advance, otherwise $35.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.harlemstage.org or by phone at 212-281-9240, ext 19 or 20.
