The Colony Theatre has announced that the final production of its "Season of Premieres," the World Premiere of FALLING FOR MAKE BELIEVE, is a sellout smash hit, and will add a special performance tonight, May 12, to accommodate the demand for tickets.

With Music by Richard Rodgers, Lyrics by Lorenz Hart, Book by Mark Saltzman, and directed by Jim Fall, FALLING FOR MAKE BELIEVE was greeted by rave reviews and such enthusiastic word-of-mouth that the announced performances have sold out quickly.

"We have been working on this show with Mark for over two years," says Artistic Director Barbara Beckley, "so to watch it come together so beautifully, and then have the critics and the public embrace it so enthusiastically, is incredibly gratifying." When asked about a possible extension, Executive Director Trent Steelman responds, "it's a big show and an extension will depend on the availability of key people as well as other factors, but we're definitely considering it."

FALLING FOR MAKE BELIEVE is the story of Lorenz (Larry) Hart, one of Broadway's all-time greats, the brilliant lyricist who penned "My Funny Valentine," "Blue Moon," "Manhattan," "Falling in Love With Love," "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered," "Where or When," and countless other classics. As half of the legendary team of Rodgers and Hart, he lived a life of dizzying heights and crushing lows. Mark Saltzman (author of The Colony's smash hit Clutter: The True Story of the Collyer Brothers Who Never Threw Anything Out) captures them all in an intimate look at the life and times of this lyrical genius, a brand new musical featuring some of the most memorable songs of the 20th Century.

Also on the creative team are Musical Director Keith Harrison and Choreographer Lisa Hopkins, with Scenic Design by Jeff McLaughlin, Costume Design by Dianne K. Graebner, Lighting Design by Sohail e. Najafi, Sound Design by Drew Dalzell, and Properties Design & Set Dressing by MacAndME.

Featured in the cast are Ben D. Goldberg as Lorenz Hart, Brett Ryback as Richard Rodgers, Tyler Milliron as Fletcher Mecklin, Rebecca Ann Johnson as VivIan Ross (a composite character based on Vivian Segal), Jeffrey Landman as Doc Bender, and Megan Moran playing multiple roles including Dorothy Rodgers.

FALLING FOR MAKE BELIEVE plays Thursdays & Fridays at 8:00pm; Saturdays at 3:00pm & 8:00pm; and Sundays at 2:00pm through May 19th, with a special added performance today, May 12th at 7:00pm. Ticket prices range from $20.00 - $42.00 (student, senior, and group discounts are available).
