LAByrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble, announced today the complete casting for the New York Premiere of The Muscles in Our Toes by Labyrinth Company Member Stephen Belber, directed by Anne Kauffman. The play begins performances on June 14, with an official opening night set for June 26, 2014, at Labyrinth's home in New York City's West Village, the Bank Street Theater (155 Bank Street).

Goodspeed Musicals is delighted to announce that Tony, Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winner Sheldon Harnick will be the latest recipient of The Goodspeed Award for Outstanding Contribution to Musical Theatre. Over the years Mr. Harnick's work has been represented on the Goodspeed stage with Fiorello! (1985), She Loves Me (1978), The Apple Tree (1999), and this summer's 50th Anniversary production of Fiddler on the Roof at the Goodspeed Opera House. The award will be presented by longtime friend and star of stage and screen, two time Tony Award-winner Tony Roberts (Broadway's Promises, Promises; They're Playing Our Song; Victor/Victoria; Cabaret).

Theater Breaking Through Barriers (TBTB), the critically acclaimed theater company dedicated to advancing artists with disabilities and changing the image of people with disabilities from dependence to independence, presents its fourth annual short play festival, POWER PLAYS -- a collection of five world-premiere short plays by celebrated playwrights Bekah Brunstetter, Bruce Graham, John Guare, David Henry Hwang and Neil LaBute -- with performances to run June 12-29 at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). The company is proud to announce that the 8pm performance on Saturday, June 14 will feature ASL interpretation by sign language interpreters Sarah Brandenburg and Craig Fogel.

Audiences in Baltimore will meet at Gwynn Falls Leakin Park on June 14 and June 15. Audiences in New York will meet at Isham Park on June 21. Performances are presented free of charge. However, audiences are required to make advance reservations.

Previews begin tonight, Saturday, March 8, at 8pm for the return to Broadway of Tony Award-winner and two-time Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington starring as Walter Lee Younger in Lorraine Hansberry's A RAISIN IN THE SUN. This new production begins previews nearly 55 years to the day that A RAISIN IN THE SUN had its Broadway premiere (March 11, 1959) at the same theatre, the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street). Opening night for A RAISIN IN THE SUN is Thursday, April 3 at 6:45pm. The 14-week limited engagement runs through Sunday, June 15.
