On August 2, 2004 Stephanie J. Block made her solo concert debut in a sold out evening of great songs and stories at Birdland. She entertained the standing room only crowd with a plethora of standards, songs from Wicked, and a tribute to Peter Allen.
Stephanie made her Broadway debut in Oz straight from the San Francisco run of Wicked, where she covered and performed the role of Elphaba, The Wicked Witch of the West. Her regional credits include Funny Girl (2000 L.A. Robby Award-Best Actress), Oliver! (2001 Critics' Award-Best Actress), Triumph of Love (2002 L.A Robby Award-Best Supporting Actress), Crazy For You (2002 L.A. Ovation Award Nomination-Best Actress), Fiddler On The Roof (Pittsburgh CLO), James Joyce's The Dead (Ahmanson Theatre and Kennedy Center), Let Me Sing (The George Street Playhouse & Charlotte Rep.), The Grass Harp (Pasadena Playhouse), Bells Are Ringing (Reprise!), I Love a Piano (Denver Center), Damn Yankees, and Bye Bye Birdie (Sacramento Music Circus). Her voice can be heard on numerous commercial jingles and as the singing voice of Barbie!
