Winner of the 2007 Dora Audience Choice Award for Toronto's favorite show, Evil Dead - The Musical will once again unleash mayhem in Toronto starting February 12, 2016 for an exclusive 16-day run at Randolph Theatre (736 Bathurst St., formerly The Bathurst Street Theatre).

Tickets go on sale at noon today via Ticketfly.com.

The laugh out loud, record-breaking Canadian cult classic musical tells the outrageous story of five college friends spending the weekend in an abandoned cabin in the woods after accidentally unleashing an evil force that turns them all into demons. Directed, co-created and co-composed by Christopher Bond, the production's book and lyrics are by George Reinblatt, and features music by Frank Cipolla, Melissa Morris, Reinblatt and Bond.

"Evil Dead - The Musical is the most fun you can have at the theatre. It's a show everyone loves - even if you don't love musicals," said Corey Ross, president of Starvox Entertainment. "Since being called 'the next Rocky Horror Show' by The New York Times, the show has been touring around the world, so all can enjoy the evil fun."

Those familiar with Evil Dead - The Musical will remember the designated "Splatter Zone" where audience members get covered in fake blood as part of the 'real-life' effects that take place during certain scenes. In addition to some dismembered limbs, demons telling bad jokes and catchy tunes (Look Who's Evil Now, All the Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Canadian Demons), the show features a saucy combination of wit and sexual innuendo that keeps audiences laughing.

The original production, based on the film franchise, opened more than 12 years ago at Toronto's Tranzac Club and has since enjoyed a wildly successfully run, with over 150 productions presented in cities around the world. The show has been staged over 300 times in Toronto to sold-out crowds and rave reviews from critics.

Tickets for the exclusive run (February 12 through February 28) range in price from $29.99 to $79.99 and go on sale starting at 12 p.m. today (Monday, November 30) at Ticketfly.com.

Thursday performances are at 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday performances at 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., and Sunday performances at 3 p.m., with two special performances on February 14 at 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
