New American Voices, Queens Theatre's new play development program, is continuing to present its 2021 Spring Reading Series consisting of three new virtual productions showcasing writers who represent the rich cultural diversity of the evolving populations of Queens.

Pianist Rosa Antonelli will host her Concert at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall - Part 2, an online watch party on Wednesday, March 31 @ 7:30 PM New York time, presented in remembrance of the lives lost to the current Covid-19 pandemic, and also in celebration of the birthday of Argentinean composer Astor Piazzolla.

IASNY Nuyorican Poets Café will present LIBERTY's DAUGHTERS, an afternoon of IMMIGRANT WOMEN'S MONOLOGUES presented by artists across generations and ethnicities. The event will take place at the storied (virtual) Nuyorican Poets Café, honoring WOMEN's HISTORY MONTH and WORLD THEATRE DAY in a live stream on Saturday, March 27, at 2 pm, EDT.

The Cohen New Works Festival, presented by the Department of Theatre and Dance at The University of Texas at Austin, will return in a five-day virtual festival celebrating new, student-created work April 12-16, 2021.

More than sixty performers and playwrights from stage and screen have joined together for Period Piece, a special project to destigmatize menstrual cycles. The University of Chicago Presents is offering a recital of German lieder and sentimental song from English tenor Ian Bostridge and pianist Imogen Cooper. The duo will perform a selection of vocal works by Ludwig van Beethoven that offer a glimpse at the composer's romantic side, as well as Robert Schumann's Liederkreis, Op. 39.

The Reading Series, a new virtual benefit series, has announced their next production with Neil LaBute’s REASONS TO BE HAPPY, which will take place on Wednesday, March 31st at 8pm. The company has previously produced REASONS TO BE PRETTY and will complete LaBute’s beauty trilogy with REASONS TO BE PRETTY HAPPY on Friday, April 30th. 

This April 22 at 7:00 PM EST, Queens Theatre will spotlight stories about resilience and hope amid the COVID-19 pandemic with its new film, I See You and You See Me, based on oral history and source material from the Queens Memory Project.

George Street Playhouse's streaming production of Fully Committed by Becky Mode is streaming March 23 - April 11, 2021. Featuring one actor playing more than 40 characters, Fully Committed takes place in a famed restaurant where patrons will stop at nothing to secure a reservation— including coercion and bribes.
