BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that opera and theatre performer Rosemary Kuhlmann has died at age 97. Kuhlmann was known for being one of the first performers to bring opera to television. 

BroadwayWorld is sad to report that Brunilda Ruiz has died at age 83 of cancer. She is survived by her husband, two daughters,  brother and two sisters, four grandchildren and a great-grandson.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report the death of experimental choreographer, Stanley Love. He was 49. No cause of death was given.

Robert ('Bob') Ullman (left), the legendary theatre press agent, whose career included Ethel Merman and Mary Martin: Together on Broadway, A Chorus Line (from workshop to Public Theater to Broadway), Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne in The Visit, Lauren Bacall in Cactus Flower, The Dining Room, Driving Miss Daisy, Sunday in the Park with George, and over 150 additional Broadway and off-Broadway plays and musicals, died on July 31, 2019 in Bayshore, Long Island, New York. He was 97. The cause of death was cardiac arrest. Bob's death was announced by Rev. Joshua Ellis, a long-time Ullman friend, a former Broadway press agent, and now, an Interspiritual minister.

Acclaimed ballerina, Julia Farron, has died on July 3 at the age of 96. Her death has been confirmed, but it is unknown where she passed, according to The New York Times.

According to the New York Times, Hugh Southern, who leaves behind a legacy of having created New York City's first TKTS booth, passed away last week in Leesburg, Virgina from pneumonia and congestive heart failure. He was 87 years old.

Actress and playwright E. Katherine Kerr has died, according to The New York Times. She was 82.

Nancy Tribush Hillman, Broadway actress and innovative theater educator, director, and creator, whose esteemed career spanned over 60 years, died unexpectedly in Olympia, WA on July 10, 2019.

According to Variety, veteran of stage and screen Denise Nickerson, best known for starring as Violet Beauregarde in the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, passed away yesterday, July 10. Nickerson suffered a stroke in 2018. She was 62 years old.

The Broadway community mourns the loss of Writer, Composer, Lyricist, Director, and Performer Martin Charnin, who passed away on July 6, 2019 at age 84. To commemorate his life and work, the Committee of Theatre Owners will dim the lights of the Neil Simon Theatre in New York, where his legendary musical Annie first opened, for one minute on Friday, July 12 at exactly 7:45pm.

Rip Torn, one of the leading stage actors of his generation and an Emmy Award-winner for his portrayal of the deliciously devious producer Artie on HBO's “The Larry Sanders Show,” has died. 

BroadwayWorld is saddened to have learned of the passing of actor Cameron Boyce, best known for his work on the Disney Channel. Boyce was 20 years old.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report the passing of Martin Charnin, Broadway lyricist and director. The news was reported on Facebook, by Charnin's daughter, Sasha. Charnin was 84.
