New Line Theatre, a?oethe bad boy of musical theatre,a?? continues its 29th season of adult, alternative musical theatre, with a one-night-only free public reading of Gilbert & Sullivan's BLOODY KING OEDIPUS!, or PARDON ME, MUM!, the hilarious, long-lost horror-comedy, on Monday night, January 6 at 8:00 pm at the Marcelle Theater, 3310 Samuel Shepherd Drive, in the Grand Center Arts District. Bloody King Oedipus! contains adult language and content.
2020 St. Louis Arts Awards Entertainment Announced

Local and national talent is set to take center stage at the 29th annual St. Louis Arts Awards on January 27 at the Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta Hotel. The Arts and Education Council has announced that entertainment for their signature fundraiser will include performances by the Ambassadors of Harmony, The 442s with special guest Brian Owens and Broadway stars Caitlin Kinnunen and Beth Leavel.

Three-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, New York Times best-selling poet, and critically acclaimed actor Jill Scott will bring her 20th Anniversary Tour to the Fabulous Fox Theatre on Sunday, February 9 at 7:30 p.m. Before having the #1 album in the country with 'The Light of The Sun', performing at The White House, being named People Magazine's Top TV Breakout Star of 2010 and appearing on VH1 Divas alongside Aretha Franklin, the triple threat began her career collaborating with musical icons, The Roots, Will Smith, and Common in the late 90s. Doors will open at 6:00 PM for a VIP Meet and Greet with cast members from The National Tour of WICKED, and the concert will begin at 7:00 PM. (Selections from Blue Strawberry's dinner menu will be available for purchase.) Net proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and Under the Arch Incubator.

Circus Harmony presents over seven hundred mini shows a year in their home ring at City Museum. Once a year, they present a full length show, with a storyline, and a live band. This year, that original production is titled Fluente, happening January 18, 19, 25 & 26. This captivating show is an undersea circus adventure. All the acts are co-created with the amazing Circus Harmony students, staff and guest teaching artists - a number of whom are successful alumni.

There are no fees to participate or register.
