The August 3rd festival was billed as a a?oeNew Date, New Location, New Vibea?? event, but Phoenix regrets that pre-purchased ticket sales were lower than expected. For years, Brew HAHA has been a favorite for brewers and attendees a like. The block party atmosphere on Park St. outside the old Phoenix location made for a great neighborhood event. The festive environment with live music, games, and hundreds of craft beers, meads, and ales was an Indianapolis favorite.

Kat Quirk Bobbs has joined the Civic as the new Production Manager. Kat is responsible for guiding all productions through their five-month development process. She is the hub connecting the staff to production teams, cast, and crew. Kat also manages building scheduling, rentals, inspections, and maintenance.
BWW Review: OLIVER! at SOUTH BEND CIVIC THEATRE

To continue their tradition of producing a classic musical during the summer, the South Bend Civic Theatre presented Oliver! with a cast of more than 40 people to filled audiences. The tone of the show was instantly set with a wonderfully charming London bridge designed by Jeff Barrick. Unfortunately the tone was then smashed by a horribly electric sounding music track of the overture with trumpets that were more reminiscent of synthesizers than anything else. This confusing clash continued throughout the production leading to a mixed bag of a show. More clarification on that thought later.
