Memphis is a musical with music by David Bryan, lyrics by David Bryan and Joe DiPietro, and a book by Joe DiPietro. Winner of four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Memphis the Musical is the electrifying Broadway hit inspired by the rise of Rhythm & Blues and rock ’n’ roll in the 1950s.

Loosely based on the story of legendary Memphis disc jockey Dewey Phillips — one of the first white DJs to play Black music on the radio — Memphis the Musical celebrates the power of music, passion, and breaking barriers through an unforgettable Broadway experience filled with soulful music, energy, and heart.
