The Sugar-daddy Theatre Company will present Eugene O'Neill's THIRST at the Alexander Upstairs Theatre as a part of the Cape Town Fringe this year. Directed by Sue Diepeveen, the production will feature Pope Jerrod and Marlisa Doubell. THIRST is set a century ago and depicts three characters stranded on a raft with a great focus on survival and the apparent lack of water - the latter fact being one to which all Capetonians can relate. A play that can be seen as a metaphor for life, this was the Nobel Prize-winning O'Neill's response to the tragedy of the Titanic.
