PBS NewsHour correspondent Karla Murthy recently sat down with the show's writer and members of the cast, including Tony-award winner Adrienne Warren, to talk about the show and Tina Turner's journey to become one of the most celebrated recording artists in history.

Tina - The Tina Turner Musical is rollin' back to Broadway! Rehearsals are underway for the Tony-nominated hit, which is led by Adrienne Warren in the title role, with Daniel J. Watts as Ike, Dawnn Lewis as Zelma, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe as Tina Turner at some performances, Tony Award nominee Myra Lucretia Taylor as Gran Georgeanna and Jessica Rush as Rhonda.

Stage Entertainment, James L. Nederlander and Tali Pelman, in association with Tina Turner, have announced that Tina - The Tina Turner Musical will star Nkeki Obi-Melekwe in the title role  beginning Tuesday, November 2, 2021. An original Broadway cast member, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe played Tina in the West End production and plays Tina at certain performances in the Broadway production as the Tina alternate.

Two-time Tony Award nominee and Olivier Award nominee Adrienne Warren will return to the title role of Broadway's Tina- The Tina Turner Musical the title role for a limited engagement.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the twelve-time Tony nominated musical  TINA - THE Tina Turner MUSICAL, will reopen at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Friday, October 8, 2021, but that's not all! Just a week earlier, the musical will arrive in Madrid. Tina will play the Teatro Coliseum starting October 1.

It has been announced that Best Musical Tony Award nominee TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL will reopen at Broadway’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Friday, October 8, 2021. 

The men of Broadway’s TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL recently reunited (safely) for a photo shoot with photographer Andrew Werner, which was spearheaded by company member Sheldon Henry. This marked the first time that they've gathered since Broadway shuttered in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tina: The Tina Turner Musical has sued its insurer, Chubb Insurance Company earlier this week in New York state court because the company 'wrongfully denied its claim seeking to cover losses from shows canceled by state coronavirus shutdowns.'

On April 17, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical celebrated 2 years since its world premiere in London. In honor of the anniversary, the company is flashing back to Adrienne Warren's Tina Journey, the miniseries the show created when it first began.

TINA - THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL's gross for the week was $1,834,339.00, the highest for any eight-show week at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Prior to TINA - THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL, MOTOWN held the house record ($1,708,597.00) set in 2013.
