David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow will travel to Puerto Rico as 'Jala-la-Pala' and will play four performances at El Corralon de San Jose in Old San Juan directed by Broadway's Luis Salgado, winner of the Best Director Award at the Thespis and Venus/Adonis Festivals for Song of Solomon and Zuccotti Park, respectively. The New York-based cast features Emmanuelle Bordas as Karen, Javier E. Today we are celebrating the many cinematic showcases for Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and director David Mamet.

According to Deadline, David Mamet's 1988 Tony-nominated, Hollywood-centered play SPEED-THE-PLOW will soon appear on the big screen.

How do you cram 50 hit songs, over 90 characters, and 25 years of history from one of music's most important companies into a dramatically satisfying, two hour and 45 minute musical? The answer is, you don't; but based on the enthusiastic response to MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, playing at Orlando's Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts through March 15th, that really doesn't matter. 'Musical Speed Dating', an evening featuring the collaborations of the BMI class of 2013-2014, will play The Duplex on Monday, November 10 at 9:30 pm.
