The Music Critics Association of North America has announced that its 2023 Award for BEST NEW OPERA—a major recognition for an opera introduced in North America during the previous calendar year—goes to composer Nicole Lizée and librettist Nicolas Billon for R.U.R. A TORRENT OF LIGHT, a Tapestry Opera production in collaboration with OCAD (Ontario College of Art and Design) University.

Wonderland Dreams by Alexa Meade is has extended by popular demand through September 3, 2023. Located in the heart of New York City at 529 5th Ave and 44th St., the immersive art experience, Wonderland Dreams is hand-painted from floor-to-ceiling in a massive 26,000 sq. ft. venue, showcasing Meade's signature 3D painting style which makes the world appear to be a 2D picture on canvas.

Wolf Eyes (the Michigan-based experimental sound and visual art collective currently led by Nate Young and John Olson) announced Dreams In Splattered Lines, their first widely-distributed non-compilation album in six years. It includes 'Engaged Withdrawal,” “My Whole Life,” & “Days Decay' from the upcoming full-length.

Getty’s free outdoor concert series Off the 405 is back with an exciting lineup, kicking off May 20 and running through August 26. Featured artists include SPELLLING, Makaya McCraven, Etran de L’Aïr, Rahill and Alabaster DePlume. Tickets will be released three weeks prior to each concert.

Written by the English seaside amidst the extreme elements of winter, “Boat” serves as a metaphor for depression; a track that combats the struggles of feeling very low and not knowing how to break the cycle. The official video, directed by Mia Barnes, further cements the message, as Ed is submerged in the sea with waves engulfing him.
