AMC announced today that Better Call Saul, produced by Sony Pictures Television, will return with a special two-night premiere event on February 23 and 24, 2020. The highly anticipated and explosive fifth season will premiere on Sunday, February 23 at 10:00 p.m. ET/9c following a new episode of The Walking Dead. The season will continue the next night, Monday, February 24, with an encore presentation of the season premiere at 8:00 p.m. ET/7c followed by the season's second episode at 9:00 p.m. ET/8c. Subsequent episodes will air Monday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET/8c. 

NBC has announced 40 world-renowned, superstar acts who will compete on the second season of “America's Got Talent: The Champions,” premiering Monday, Jan. 6 from 8-10 p.m. ET/PT.

Nashville native Soccer Mommy (a.k.a. Sophie Allison) released 'lucy,' her first new song since her 2018 breakout debut album Clean, earlier this fall. Showcasing a bolder sound, more advanced production, and Allison's masterful songwriting and wordplay kicked up a notch, 'lucy' is now followed by a 7+ minute epic called 'yellow is the color of her eyes.'  ''yellow is the color of her eyes' is a song that is really important to me,' Allison explains. 'The song was inspired by a time when I was on the road constantly and I felt like I was losing time - specifically with my mother. It's also a song that I feel really showcases my writing when it comes to instrumentation, so it's one that makes me really proud.' The track, which features Mary Lattimore on harp, is out now alongside a stunning short film by Her Smell director Alex Ross Perry.

Nominees for the 30th Annual LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards were announced on Tuesday, November 5 on at This Stage [ThisStage.la]. The ceremony will take place Monday, January 13, 2020 at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Among the nominees are director Michael Arden and actor Jefferson Mays for A Christmas Carol, and Tina star Daniel J. Watts.

The 8th Annual Key West Film Festival announces its official 2019 lineup including major fall films from Noah Baumbach and Destin Daniel Cretton. More than 115 films and V/R pieces will be shown during the 5-day festival, which runs November 20-24. Nearly half of the feature films at the festival will be Florida festival premieres.

As the kick-off to this year's highly anticipated a?oe2019 American Music Awards,a?? chart-topping artist and AMA nominee Ella Mai today announced the a?oe2019 American Music Awardsa?? nominees in four categories LIVE on ABC's a?oeGood Morning America,a?? followed by additional nominees announced via the AMAs social media accounts. Rounding out the morning, Mai also announced nominees via Billboard Magazine's social media platforms. Zachary James, bass, will be making his highly anticipated Metropolitan Opera debut on November 8 in the Met premiere of Philip Glass' Akhnaten. Described as a 'true stage animal' by Opera News, James is an international opera singer known for his 'huge, robust bass' which 'resonates with force' (Bach Track), 'tremendous power and presence' (The Arts Desk, London) and 'intrinsically beautiful', 'cavernous bass' with 'oomph and range' (Opera News). Akhnaten, directed by Phelim McDermott, runs November 8 through December 7. On November 23, the production will be part of the Met's 'Live in HD' movie theater transmission series and will be broadcast to cinemas across the world.
