Towards the end of 2018 and all throughout 2019 we were constantly on the road. In between tours I was flying to different places, meeting producers, working on songs and trying to figure out what it was we were going to do next.

Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre remembers and celebrates one of their founding members MICHAEL JONES, who passed away a year ago. An Emmy winner and recipient of the Oklahoma Governor’s Arts Award, Michael was a co-founder and Artistic Associate at OKC Rep. While Michael was a pillar of the OKC theatre community, he also worked all over the country. Michael touched the lives and hearts of so many he worked with. After six days and 73 feature films, the 2021 Sundance Film Festival’s Awards Ceremony took place tonight, hosted by actor and comedian Patton Oswalt, with jurors presenting 24 prizes for feature filmmaking and seven for Short Films.

The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent work selected across the Feature Film, Short Film, Indie Series and New Frontier categories for the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.

Art House Productions has announced two upcoming lectures made possible by the New Jersey Council for the Humanities. On May 17 at 2:00pm, Ellen Gruber Garvey, PHD will lead Women on Wheels: How Women Found Freedom through Bicycling; and on May 31 at 11:00am, Sylvia Chan-Malik, PHD will lead Women, Feminism, and Islam. Lectures will be held in the Art House Gallery amidst a solo exhibit by artist Diana Schmertz. Admission to the lectures is free, but advance reservations are strongly encouraged as space is limited.

Diet Cig are back! Today the critically-acclaimed duo of Alex Luciano (guitar and vocals) and Noah Bowman (drums) return with a new song “Night Terrors” - their first bit of music since 2017 when they released their debut album Swear I'm Good At This. Of “Night Terrors” Alex notes, “This song centers around my very real and frequent experiences with night terrors and other bizarre sleep activity. Today, New York City-based band The Wants -- Madison Velding-VanDam (vocals, guitar, synth), Jason Gates (drums, live electronics), and Heather Elle (vocals, bass,synth) -- share new single 'The Motor', and announce their debut full-length, Container. In support and anticipation of the upcoming album release, The Wants head out on a UK tour next month, and are playing select NYC dates in anticipation of a US tour soon to be announced. Container LP is due out March 13th, 2020 via UK-based Council Records (pre-order here). 

 CW Seed, The CW's free, ad-supported digital network, has acquired the second window, non-exclusive streaming rights to 14 series from BBC Studios. The pact will bring more than 200 episodes and 150 hours of scripted library content to the platform. The announcement was made today by Rick Haskins, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Digital Platforms, The CW.
