The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra has announced details for its upcoming 2022-23 season, set to begin on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. with a world premiere LPO commission of a new work by Latin Grammy-nominated composer Juan Pablo Contreras.

'You + I' was written by Wil Martin, Andy Stafford, Aaron Fink, John Novak and Michael Sylvia. The song was produced by Wil Martin & Aaron Fink, mixed and mastered by Allen Terry. 'Tongue Tied (Unplugged)' was written, produced and mixed by Wil Martin and mastered by Rob Brill. The song was previously released on their second album TWO.

Joining the previously announced Michael Fox (Jim/Tom), Andrew Langtree (Karl/Steve), Richard Lintern (Russ/Dan), Imogen Stubbs (Bev/Kathy) and Eric Underwood (Albert/Kevin) are Katie Matsell (Betsy/Lindsey) and Aliyah Odoffin (Francine/Lena).

Lisa Dawn Miller who manages the legacy song catalogue of legendary songwriter, Ron Miller (1932-2007) announced she has signed a new publishing agreement with Sony Music Publishing to administer her father's songs. The new deal expands upon a decades-long partnership between the Miller songs and Sony Music Publishing.

Upbeat and melodic, yet tinged with melancholy, the Paul Simon-esque 'Merry-Go-Round' uses the metaphor of the Earth and Milky Way as a cosmic merry-go-round. The 'Merry-Go-Round' video expands upon on the song’s theme, depicting the cycles of life and nature as they go round and round into infinity. Watch the new music video now!

ELIZABETH IRELAND McCANN, the iconoclastic Broadway producer who won nine Tony Awards during a 60-year career in theater, died after a bout with cancer on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, according to her longtime associate and friend, Kristen Luciani.  She was 90 years old.
