The Man Who Came to Dinner is a fun and funny, old-fashioned romp. Led by Ed Fernandez, the seasoned cast of 20 present an energetic and dynamic night of theater. Fernandez stars as radio personality and houseguest from Hell, Sheridan Whiteside. Whiteside slips on the ice outside the Stanley residence and is forced to recuperate among the 'common folk'. Fernandez plays a great curmudgeon yet knows when to pull it in to make the character more well-rounded and less cartoonish.

A product of over two years of doing underground work, including extensive practicing, lineup changes, and writing/recording new tracks, LIke Satellites, featuring lead vocalist Leah Gillespie, are characterized by their commanding melodies. 'Muscle Memory,' a track inspired by a turbulent relationship, plays with feelings of teenage-esque angst, while simultaneously weaving in ambient synths, pop structures, and a slew of alternative influences, including some of Gillespie's classic female-empowered favorites, Hey Monday, We Are The In Crowd, and Paramore. To promote the single release, Like Satellites released an accompanying lyric video, which can be viewed here.

Do not be confused by the title. This musical fairy tale is not based on the 1980s Olivia Newton John movie Xanadu. However, author Tim Acito did purposely reference the film in his title because he hoped to emulate that same feeling of sweetness and magic. Like Olivia Newton Johns' character in Xanadu, who was a mystical muse sent to Earth to inspire men, the leading character of Zanna, Don't! is a magical matchmaking teen named Zanna (Conor Walton). With the help of his magic wand, Zanna tends to the hearts and lives of all around him in this fantastical tale touting a humorous and hopeful message of tolerance and acceptance.

Apple Music today announces LVRN/Interscope Records artist Summer Walker as the first Up Next artist of 2019. The influential Up Next series identifies and elevates rising global talent of all genres, and over the past two years has been a key platform for showcasing contemporary R&B breakout artists. Walker will join the ranks of fellow Up Next R&B Grammy-nominated alum like Daniel Caesar, Khalid, 6lack and H.E.R.. The low-key R&B powerhouse who writes with refreshing honesty and has been described as “the love child of Jimi Hendrix and Amy Winehouse,” has become an Apple Music R&B mainstay featured across multiple playlists since the release of her breakout single “CPR” in April 2018. Walker's “Girls Need Love” track debuted in August and is still #4 on the platform's R&B charts under the likes of Khalid and Ella Mai (and still in Apple Music's Top 100 Songs chart overall). Her debut LP, Last Day of Summer is the #2 R&B album on Apple Music and cements Walker's rising star status as the #8 R&B artist worldwide across Apple Music, up 313% in the last three months.

Lena Hall, Broadway's reigning queen of rock, is poised to dominate 2018. And, to be honest, we couldn't be more excited. On Friday, January 5, 2018, she released the first of 12 monthly EPs in her Obsessed series OBSESSED: HEDWIG. For those of us who didn't get to see Hall play the titular character in HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH during its recent national tour, this EP gives us a glimpse into what that experience must have been like.

AGENT ANDROMEDA: THE ORION CRUSADE answers that age old question: 'what would the love child of Cirque du Soleil and Flesh Gordon look like?'. The answer is this riotously funny burlesque science fiction production that is part brilliant aerial work and part circus spectacle. The piece may have been inspired by sci-fi classics like Barbarella, but it has become its own wholly unique work that is simultaneously sexy, visually arresting and funny.

Oh my god, I have literally nothing to say about Les Miz. Well, maybe not nothing... not literally! It's not gonna be hard to throw these out, I'll tell you that much. I have so many freaking Les Miz CDs and they all take up so much space at two--even three--discs a pop. The only one I ever really listened to in its entirety more than a couple of times was the Original London cast anyway.

There are times when the percussion in TAP DOGS, the testosterone-fueled tap dance extravaganza now at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester through April 14, is so penetrating that your diaphragm literally pulses in rhythm to the beat. A workman-themed sound and dance performance that seems like the love child of STOMP and BLUE MAN GROUP, TAP DOGS combines the athleticism of urban gladiators with the precision of six-part (and 12-footed) harmony to deliver a thrilling 75 minutes of non-stop tap invention.
