The Drowsy Chaperone Revival

You may have seen Preston Taylor at BYU, Hale Center Theater Orem, Sundance, Tuacahn, or Hale Centre Theatre. Or you may have seen him the ensembles of the MOULIN ROUGE touring company (understudy for Christian and the Duke) or THE GREAT GATSBY on Broadway (understudy for Tom and Wolfsheim), where he has been dazzling audiences for the last year. Also a model and influencer, he is featured in the recently unveiled marketing campaign for this year’s Broadway Bares charity event. Taylor spoke openly and genuinely with BroadwayWorld about making the leap from Utah to Broadway and working hard so you’re ready for the unexpected. 

Seven years ago, an already hot summer in Boston heated up even more during a pre-Broadway tryout of a truncated version of playwright Matthew Lombardo’s “Tea at Five” at the Huntington Theatre when its star, Academy Award winner Faye Dunaway, was fired after allegations that she physically and verbally assaulted crew members on the troubled production.

Center Theatre Group has revealed twelve productions for the 2026/27 Season. The eight-show One CTG subscription package includes plays and musicals at the Mark Taper Forum and Ahmanson Theatre, including The Turning world premiere and more.

Sister Act SR. and The Drowsy Chaperone SR are expected to be available for licensing in the coming months, joining The Music Man SR.,Guys and Dolls SR., Singin’ in the Rain SR., Fiddler on the Roof SR., and Into the Woods SR. How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying SR. is currently in development.
