Oh baby, baby! The new megawatt jukebox musical, & Juliet, has begun its Broadway run at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre! Bringing one half of Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers to life as a pop princess is Emmy and Golden Globe-winning, and Olivier Award-nominated, playwright and screenwriter David West Read, who is best known for his contributions to the Emmy Award-winning hit show, Schitt's Creek.

Two River Theater will celebrate the tenth season of one of its most popular programs, A Little Shakespeare, with one of William Shakespeare’s most iconic plays, Romeo and Juliet. A Little Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet will run December 2 - 11, 2022 as a 75-minute abridged version.

Soho Rep has announced a one-week extension, to November 20, of its nearly-sold-out world premiere production of Montag, written by Kate Tarker (THUNDERBODIES at Soho Rep; Dionysus Was Such a Nice Man) and directed by Dustin Wills (Wolf Play, presented by Soho Rep & Ma-Yi Theater Company; Frontières Sans Frontières).

Full casting is announced for William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, directed by Josie Rourke, with a musical score by Michael Bruce, @sohoplace, the first new build West End theatre to open in 50 years.

Invincible – the Musical world premieres November 30, 2022, at The Wallis (with previews beginning November 22nd). Tiffany Nichole Greene directs this reimagining of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet weaving in the catalogue of hit songs of Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo. I managed to catch Bradley Bredeweg, the book author of Invincible, between his multi-tasking of juggling multiple commitments.

Two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage and director Kate Whoriskey will bring their latest Broadway triumph, “Clyde’s,” a co-production with Goodman Theatre in Chicago to the Mark Taper Forum November 15 to December 18. It recently concluded the Goodman engagement.

August Wilson's FENCES will run at Playhouse on Park November 2 - 20, 2022. This production will be directed by Kenney M. Green. FENCES is a part of Playhouse on Park's 14th Main Stage Season, the theme of which is Perseverance. This season highlights stories of fighters and survivors, to coincide with the Playhouse's journey of persevering through the pandemic. 

Casting has been announced for Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts’ WORLD PREMIERE production of INVINCIBLE - THE MUSICAL, featuring the music of PAT BENATAR & NEIL GIRALDO, from November 22 to December 18, 2022, in The Wallis’ Bram Goldsmith Theater.

 Emit Theatre will present a binary-breaking production of William Shakespeare's 12th NIGHT, directed by Victoria Giambalvo. 12th NIGHT performs on Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13 at 7 pm.

Baltimore's CHESAPEAKE SHAKESPEARE COMPANY has announced its upcoming Gala --  its first-ever Capulet Costume Ball, according to Lesley Malin, CSC's Producing Executive Director.   

Live Arts Theater's 2022/23 Transformations Season journeys forward with the award-winning musical VIOLET. This soaring musical pilgrimage features music by Jeanine Tesori and lyrics and book by Brian Crawley. VIOLET will have 12 performances in the Gibson Theater, November 18 through December 10, 2022.

Amas Musical Theatre and the Amas Musical Theatre Lab, in association with Jeremiah James and Rashad V. Chambers, will present developmental lab readings of It Happened In Key West in the Elaine Castilla Orbach Studio at The Theater Center. There will be two performances: Thursday, October 27th at 2:00 and Friday, October 28th at 1:00pm.
