The Kennedy Center has never presented a Christmas spectacular in house before. That is until now. Noel: Jesus is Born! was a family friendly concert in the Opera House that featured lots of great music, some really good talent, and above all, conveyed the true meaning of the season. It’s not all about those big sales or even giving gifts.

Revisiting themes of hunger, migration and resilience, the piece underscores the enduring relevance of Severino’s journey — a story rooted in Brazil yet resonant with global struggles today.

The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center will present NUNCRACKERS – THE NUNSENSE CHRISTMAS MUSICAL from December 5 through December 21, 2025. The production will feature direction by Fred Helsel and Augusto Guardado, musical direction by Jenny Chaney, and choreography by Augusto Guardado.

Nothing was held back in Brookfield Theatre of the Arts‘ production of M. Butterfy by David Henry Hwang.

Butterfly premiered at the National Theater in Washington D.C. and then produced on Broadway, it was truly visionary, compelling, thought-provoking, and outright shocking. Revised in 2017 to incorporate information that was released after the original play was produced, more people’s acceptance of the LGBTQIA+ community, and China’s growth as a superpower.
