Today rock and roll legends Guns N' Roses announced that seminal group The Smashing Pumpkins will join a select number of dates on their recently announced, highly anticipated 2020 worldwide stadium tour. The colossal Guns N' Roses 2020 Tour will feature The Smashing Pumpkins at stops in major cities across North America – Philadelphia, PA; Detroit, MI; Toronto, ON; Washington, DC; East Rutherford, NJ; and Boston, MA. ALL ARTS will premiere House Seats: In Conversation with Peter Brook, an interview of the legendary artist by the Tony Award-nominated playwright (Choir Boy) and Academy Award-winning screenwriter Tarell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight), in primetime on Sunday, February 23, at 8pm. ALL ARTS recorded the conversation at Polonsky Shakespeare Center following a performance of Peter Brook and Marie-Hélène Estienne's Why?, whose American Premiere Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA) presented as part of Peter Brook/NY, a citywide recognition of Brook and Estienne's work in theatre, opera, film, television, literature, and the development of the next generation of theatre artists.

From February 27 to March 29, Woodie King, Jr.'s New Federal Theatre will celebrate both Black History Month and Women's History Month with an Off-Broadway production of 'Two Can Play' by Trevor Rhone, directed by Clinton Turner Davis, at Castillo Theater, 543 West 42nd Street. In this two-act comedy, Gloria and Jim, a lower middle-class couple in Kingston, try their wildest schemes to escape gun crime and establish residence in the United States. They survive because they learn to communicate and rediscover each other. Playwright Trevor Rhone was the artistic giant of Jamaican theater. The play celebrates the pent-up need for self-discovery and personal development in Jamaican women, a theme which is also universal. Director is Clinton Turner Davis, who helmed the comedy's New York premiere in 1985.

From Friday, February 14 through Monday, February 17, BAM presents Long Weekend of Love, a Valentine's Day weekend program of great onscreen love stories, from first love to decades-spanning relationships, from classic Hollywood effervescence to tender contemporary stories of queer desire. BAM's world premiere run of Horace Jenkins' long lost Black independent cinema gem Cane River (1982) will also continue throughout the series.

Known as the nation's foremost label launched by an orchestra and devoted exclusively to new music, BMOP/sound today announced the November 19th release of Steven Mackey: Time Release, led by conductor Gil Rose and performed by the musicians of the Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP) and percussionist Colin Currie. Growing up playing in rock bands in California, Grammy Award-winning composer Steven Mackey brings those influences to his classical concert music writing on his second BMOP/sound CD.

Producer Colin Ingram and the creators of the film Back To The Future, Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, have announced the full cast for the world premiere of BACK TO THE FUTURE The Musical, which will open at the Manchester Opera House on 20 February 2020 for a strictly limited 12-week season, finishing on 17 May, prior to transferring to the West End.

Back to the Backlot, a live musical comedy variety show, will bring back many of West Hollywood's famed Backlot Theatre's original showcase stars to commemorate the end of an era of one of the country's most famous venues for live entertainment. The event will mark the beginning of the preservation project known as Robertson Lane, which will re-build the venue formally known as The Factory and the famous Studio One Nightclub. The historic building opened in 1929 as the home of Mitchell Cameras, an early and important movie camera maker for the large movie studios. It was then the Studio One nightclub/Backlot Theatre from the late 1970s through the 1990s.
