For the 107th Kritzerland show, Kritzerland stays home once again with another talent-packed song-filled show Kritzerland Influencers. The free benefit show will feature classic theater and film songs, some rarities, and a few songs that might be completely unfamiliar.

The Original Theatre Company commemorate the 104th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme by bringing their adaptation of Sebastian Faulks's Birdsong to the screen. Building on the techniques used to stream during the early stages of lockdown, Birdsong loses none of its power, relevance, or sense of storytelling.

In spite of not being able to perform as usual, East Lynne Theater Company's artistic director, Gayle Stahlhuth, figured out how two of its programs can continue: 'Tales of the Victorians' and the 'Student Theater Workshop.'

Roundabout Theatre Company just announced that the current theatrical season will resume in Spring 2021, and has added the Broadway debut of Alice Childress's Trouble in Mind, directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, to its roster of upcoming shows. Childress was a Founding Member of the American Negro Theatre and the first African-American woman to be produced professionally in New York (Gold Through The Trees in 1952); Randolph-Wright is a celebrated director and writer whose play Blue had an acclaimed run at Roundabout in 2001. Trouble in Mind will premiere on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre in Winter 2021/22.

East Lynne Theater Company commissioned Susan Tischler to create a one-person play based on Croy's book and perform it under the direction of Karen Case Cook, at The Chalfonte Hotel in 2008.  She later performed this comedy at ELTC's performance venue, The Cape May Presbyterian Church and on the road.

Since the players of East Lynne Theatre Company in Cape May, NJ cannot perform in front of a live audience at the moment due to a pandemic, they are finding ways to perform on YouTube.

For the 106th Kritzerland show, Kritzerland is once again doing the show on Facebook and YouTube Live. For the June show, there's a great cast, it's more ambitious than the May show, and once again any donations would go to the Group Rep Theater in North Hollywood, non-profit 501 (c) (3).

New York Theatre Barn will host a free live stream of its New Works Series on Wednesday, May 6th, 2020 at 7PM EDT, featuring excerpts from the new musicals Jeannette and MISS STEP. The 30-minute presentation will also feature the creators of the two new musicals.

An Other Theater Company in Provo is producing two classic one-acts in their space in the Provo Towne Centre Mall this spring: Trifles by Susan Glaspell, and A Number by Caryl Churchill. 

The name Roger Duvoisin is familiar to Zimmerli audiences: the museum's gallery dedicated to its collection of original children's book illustrations is named in his honor, more than half of that collection consists of Duvoisin's artwork, and numerous exhibitions have celebrated this beloved author and illustrator. Now, Mood Books: The Children's Stories of Alvin Tresselt and Roger Duvoisin delves into one of the most important aspects of his career, a partnership with author Alvin Tresselt that spanned three decades and resulted in 18 books. The exhibition, opening March 14 at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers, features more than 30 original watercolor and gouache illustrations from four of their collaborations: White Snow, Bright Snow, Hide and Seek Fog, It's Time Now!, and What Did You Leave Behind?, all published by Lothrop, Lee & Shepard in New York. The images capture an array of feelings evoked by common experiences that tend to stick with us throughout life in very uncommon ways.

Feinstein's Presents mostlyNEWmusicals will showcase pop sensation and Hamilton alum Ari Afsar in a concert of music from Jeannette, based on the life of America's first congresswomen Jeannette Rankin, at Feinstein's at Vitello's on Thursday, March 12 at 8:00pm. Afsar will be joined by special guests Keala Settle (The Greatest Showman), YouTube sensations Sam Tsui and Casey Breves, Jonah Platt (Wicked), and Candace Quarrels (Hamilton). Nina Kasuya and Rishikesh Menon will provide background vocals.

In 1876, New Haven resident Edward Alexander Bouchet became the first African American to earn a doctorate degree in the United States. On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at 5:30 p.m., playwright Calvin Alexander Ramsey will visit the New Haven Museum to share Bouchet's little-known story and emphasize the steadfast support of his parents and members of the New Haven community along the way. Admission is free.

Tintown premiered at The Factory Space in April 2019. Written and performed by actor Bob Kelly, directed by Niall Henry, sound design by Joe Hunt and set and lighting design by Diarmuid ?" Flaherty, Tintown is the story of a Dubliner who joined the IRA as a young man in the 30's, was interned during WW2 and bore witness to the IRA's decline and eventual collapse within the Curragh Camp.
