Sisters Katia and Marielle Labéque return to the Music Hall stage with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) on September 20-21 (Friday at 11 AM and Saturday at 8 PM) for the U.S. premiere of Bryce Dessner's Concerto for Two Pianos. A Cincinnati native and member of the alternative rock band The National, Mr. Dessner (who has received Grammy Awards both for his orchestral compositions and work with The National) has collaborated with the CSO on several occasions, both as a performer and a composer.

Actors Co-op Theatre Company presents a staged reading of Tony Muscio's Words directed by David Atkinson, performed by Joe Barone, Townsend Coleman and Selah Victor. After rejecting young Tom Mitchell's request to be his assistant, curmudgeonly writer Donald Steinman finds that his film producer daughter has hired him anyway. The motley pair struggles to find common ground as they work on Steinman's latest screenplay, a feature about John D. Rockefeller. As they battle the stalled-out project, they find that the power of words extends far beyond the page.

The Drama League has named Bevin Ross its new Executive Director, joining Artistic Director Gabriel Stelian-Shanks as Co-CEO of the 103-year-old theatre organization. The new appointment will expand the portfolio and reach of The Drama League as the first step in its new strategic plan, while allowing Mr. Stelian-Shanks, who formerly performed both roles for five seasons, to focus exclusively on the company's expanding artistic programs for early, mid, and late career stage directors.

Park Square Theatre's summer fare continues on the Proscenium Stage with the regional premiere of AGATHA CHRISTIE'S RULE OF THUMB (July 12 - August 25, 2019). Directed by local powerhouse Austene Van*, the evening featured three one-act murder mysteries by the most-read mystery writer of all time - Dame Agatha Christie. In The Wasp's Nest, Hercule Poirot comes between a bitter triangle of lovers to prevent a sinister murder; in The Rats, adulterous lovers find themselves lured to a flat, only to be framed for murder; and completing the triple bill is a tense thriller about a woman who is hospitalized after seemingly falling from her balcony in The Patient.
