Horwitt (Make Mine Manhattan, Plain and Fancy). UMC artistic director Ben West (Caesar's Wife, The Fig Leaves Are Falling, At Home Abroad) directs the reading.

For the first time ever Peter Pan will be flying into the King's Theatre to celebrate 50 years since the very first pantomime was staged at the historic Glasgow venue.

Together they will do their best to spread holiday cheer in the season of giving during its Broadway Christmas concert and dinner. This special evening will take place Friday December 13th at the Rockville Links Club in Rockville Centre, NY.

The Seattle Theatre Group has announced the next beloved silent film series at the Historic Paramount Theatre. Now in its 11th year sponsored by Trader Joe's, the ADORED AND RESTORED Winter Series focuses on the importance of film preservation and the art of cinema by presenting some of the most influential films from the silent movie era. Each film was a 'special pick' by one of STG's partners and includes a CineClub discussion led by a film professional. Ensemble Theatre Company of Santa Barbara announces its 2013-14 Season in its new home, the New Vic, beginning with the hit Broadway musical A Little Night Music, inspired by the Ingmar Bergman film 'Smiles of a Summer Night. Directed by Ensemble Executive Artistic Director Jonathan Fox, A Little Night Music features one of Stephen Sondheim's best-known songs, 'Send in the Clowns.' A stirring, controversial and unexpected opening to a year commemorating the centenary of the Great War, the world premiere of a new British musical from Phil Willmott - following the huge success of his musical Once Upon a Time at the Adelphi, in Liverpool, London and the USA -Lost Boy opens at the Finborough Theatre where it will now play for two weeks,before moving on to Charing Cross Theatre for a further five week run.

Anyone who's seen a production of Peter Pan, or at least one of the televised versions starring Mary Martin or Cathy Rigby, knows that there's a moment late in the evening in which Peter turns to the audience and begs everyone to clap their hands if they believe in fairies. It's a moment that easily measures the success of the production. If the show isn't connecting with the audience, Peter's pleas are met with a smattering of golf claps. But at the Georgetown Palace, that iconic moment is met with deafening applause and cheers.

TheaterWorks will present the holiday World Premiere Christmas on the Rocks -- an offbeat collection of twisted holiday tales by multiple nationally known playwrights. These darkly humorous stories run tonight, December 3 through 22, 2013.
