Pittsburgh CLO is announced casting for the 28th annual production of A MUSICAL CHRISTMAS CAROL, December 6-22 at the Byham Theater. This year's production will feature lavish costumes, thrilling effects and a talented ensemble of both new and returning performers. Skylight Music Theatre today announced that due to overwhelming demand, an additional week of performances has been added to Skylight's holiday show, Disney's Newsies. This triumphant Broadway blockbuster opens Friday, November 15 and runs through Sunday, December 29, 2019 with special early bird and family-friendly performance times, as well as a sensory-friendly performance. This feel-good, family-favorite musical will be presented in the beautiful Cabot Theatre at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.

Disney Theatrical Productions and the Orpheum Theatre Group announced today that tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Friday, October 18 at 10am. The hit Broadway musical will begin performances in Memphis at the Orpheum Theatre on February 26, 2020 for a limited engagement of 2 weeks through March 8, 2020. 

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater will present the American Artist Award to Tony Award-winning actress, choreographer, director and author Baayork Lee. The award will be presented Wednesday, November 13, 2019 as part of the opening night celebration for Disney's Newsies, directed by Molly Smith. 

Aladdin will welcome back Broadway's original Jasmine, Courtney Reed, for a limited run! Reed will assume the role from Wednesday, October 16th through Sunday, October 27th.

The DPAC premiere of Disney's Aladdin opens tonight, October 3, 2019, at 7:30 PM for a limited engagement of 4 weeks through Saturday, October 26, 2019, as part of SunTrust Broadway's, 2019 / 2020 season.

The play will be directed by Joanie Schultz, former Artistic Director of the WaterTower Theatre in Texas, and also known for her work in Chicago at The Goodman, Victory Gardens and Steppenwolf Theatres. I recently had the great pleasure of interviewing actor Korie Lee Blossey, who at the time of our conversation was getting ready to start performances as the Genie in the national tour of Disney's Aladdin in Charlotte, North Carolina. He made his national tour debut as a standby for the role about two and a half years prior to this. A New Yorker by way of Michigan, some of Korie's previous credits include Kerchak in Tarzan, Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Caliban in The Tempest, and Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors.

The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) is excited to host a Matilda-themed Dance Master Class with original Broadway cast member Clay Thomson on Thursday, August 29 at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts at 38 Main Street in Franklin, MA. Disney Theatrical Productions and The CareFirst® BlueCross BlueShield Hippodrome Broadway Series announced today that tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Friday, August 16, at 10 a.m.

Earlier this year, on April 22, The Phantom of the Opera, reached a milestone that no other Broadway show has even come near. Phantom, the longest-running show in Broadway history, became the first Broadway show EVER to reach #13,000 performances. This is just one of many incredible achievements made by the show since it opened on Broadway over three decades ago.

The cast of 'ANNE FRANK, a musical', based on Anne Frank's life will feature 12 artists on stage to recreate Anne Frank's life filled with the touching music and lyrics written by Jean Pierre Hadida. This production marks the U.S Off-Broadway Premiere of this successful French musical which will be performed for the first time in English (adapted by Dylan Hadida). Directed and produced by David Serero, this new Off-Broadway production will take place at the Center for Jewish History (15 West 16th Street New York 10016), originally produced by Francine Disegni for Broadway Mad Production, Simon & Michal Kalfon.
