Garry Marshall Theatre kicks off their 2022 season in their new GMT outdoor stage with Impro Theatre’s Jane Austen Unscripted April 16,2022.   Sara Mountjoy-Pepka co-directs (with Paul Rogan) Impro Theatre company members and live musicians as they mingle amongst the audience having afternoon tea and delectable treats from vendors from the GMT neighborhood. Sara carved open some time to give me a peek into the behind-the-scenes of Jane Austen, as well as her own back story of improv.

April has a variety of events to offer in venues across the Seattle Center campus with something for everyone to do. The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents the 24th Street Theatre world premiere production of RAPUNZEL ALONE, a sophisticated reimagining of a classic fairy tale geared for adults and children (ages 7+) alike in seven performances from Saturday, March 12 through Saturday, March 19, 2022, in The Wallis' Lovelace Studio Theater.

Gamut Theatre will present its Winter Partnership Production with Sankofa African American Theatre Company: Echoes of Voices of the Eighth. This original production is a showcase of Dauphin County’s Black History Celebration and sponsored by Dauphin County Commissioners Mike Pries, Chad Saylor, George P. Hartwick, III and Capital Blue Cross.

Vanguard University's department of theatre arts will present the smash hit Broadway musical, Mamma Mia. The production is presented in the Lyceum Theater on the Vanguard University campus, beginning February 25th, 2022, and running three weekends through March 13th.
