Tony Nominations were announced earlier this month Tuesday, providing many shows, particularly new musicals, with a shot in the arm, as many had been previously struggling.

Death Becomes Her announced they will be closing on Broadway on June 28 due to poor sales. This announcement comes as a relative surprise; had you asked anyone six months ago, they would have told you Death Becomes Her was more likely than not to have an extended run on Broadway.

Benét Monteiro und Jay Karim-Jonker waren als MJ fantastisch, Bühne, Licht und Choreografie absolute Stage-Entertainment-Topklasse, und besonders „Thriller“, „Human Nature“ und „Man in the Mirror“ sorgten für echte Gänsehautmomente. Am schönsten war aber vielleicht das Publikum selbst – von Menschen, die mit Michael Jackson groß geworden sind, bis hin zu Kindern unter 10 Jahren in kompletter MJ-Montur. Genau da merkt man, wie zeitlos seine Musik bis heute geblieben ist.

The Barn Theatre in Cirencester has revealed the full cast and creative team for Million Dollar Quartet, directed by Jonathan O'Boyle, with Darren Day leading a cast that includes Connor Payne as Elvis and Joe Bence as Jerry Lee Lewis.

The Book of Mormon continues its robustly quirky, comedic, and intentionally offensive romp as it enjoys a much too-short touring run at the National Theatre in Washington, DC.  Rushing to get tickets to this production would be a wise idea ---the phenomenon that is the Tony-winning The Book of Mormon has taken on new sparkle and sheen and just keeps bouncing along on the pathway of theatrical success.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announced the full cast and creative team for CrazySexyCool – The TLC Musical.

Created by Tony Award-winning Director/Choreographer Christopher Wheeldon and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, the multiple Tony Award-winning musical MJ The Musical is coming to the San Diego Civic Theatre from May 5–10, bringing Michael Jackson’s singular moves and signature sound to the stage. 

The New Harmony Project announced collaborators joining its annual Writers' Residency, including Matt Williams, Angelo Pizzo, and Aurin Squire, alongside virtual industry workshops led by writers from The Handmaid's Tale, Maid, and more.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS raised a spring record $7,135,088 through its #RedBuckets campaign across 54 productions. JUST IN TIME led all shows with $932,461 raised.
