Albert Verlinde heeft vandaag, op de 75ste verjaardag van componist Andrew Lloyd Webber, bekendgemaakt dat Edwin Jonker en Alex Klaasen als Pilatus en Herodes in de iconische musical Jesus Christ Superstar te zien zullen zijn. Nadat eerder al bekend is geworden dat er hoofdrollen zijn voor Jeangu Macrooy (Jezus), Freek Bartels (Judas) en Magtel de Laat (Maria) is de theaterproducent trots op zijn sterrencast. De kaartverkoop voor Jesus Christ Superstar is vanaf vandaag geopend. 

De iconische musical Jesus Christ Superstar krijgt een sterrencast. Gisteren werd al bekendgemaakt dat Jeangu Macrooy de rol van Jezus gaat spelen. De rollen van Judas en Maria worden gespeeld door niemand minder dan Freek Bartels en de talentvolle Magtel de Laat. Jesus Christ Superstar is vanaf januari 2024 in de Nederlandse theaters te zien.

A Dutch production of Jesus Christ Superstar is headed to the Netherlands in 2024. Directed by Ivo van Hove and produced by Albert Verlinde, the musical will premiere in January 2024 at the DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam.
