Just two days before the opening performance of the American tribal love-rock musical Hair and amid strong demand in tickets, The Old Globe announced a one-week extension of the show due to popular demand. Resident Artist James Vásquez (The Old Globe’s American Mariachi and Tiny Beautiful Things) directs a cast of 16.

Today's episode features stage and screen star Bill Irwin. 'I grew up in the 1950s with Jackie Gleeson, Art Carney, Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin as my heroes, which of course I only new through this fairly new medium... I came into being right at the cusp of this technology that we live in,' Irwin explained. 

The Old Globe presents the American tribal love-rock musical Hair, which marks the Globe's first full-scale production in 17 months since the pandemic.

Their sixth full length album, it explores, expands and concludes the immersive journey they began on previous album ARCADIA both aurally and visually. 

HBO Max will also feature “Watch With Dad” trays across its Series and Movies Page, the HBO Hub and its Kids and Family Genre Page, including favored flicks and beloved series like “Daddy Day Care,” “Tenet,” the “Pink Panther” collection, “Ocean’s Eleven,” “Speed,” “Ford v. Ferrari,” “Tiger,” and “Happy Gilmore.” 

After what will be a 23-month intermission, The Muny's 103rd season will open with the Muny premiere of Smokey Joe's Cafe, followed by The Sound of Music, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, On Your Feet! and Chicago.

Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company will present Dance With Us, an educational digital platform centered around the premiere of a series of new dance films. The resource launches from June 25-27, 2021 at 7pm ET with the premieres of the films and the reveal of the platform, a website whose URL will go live at this moment.

Casting has been announced for the first ever UK and Ireland tour of WAITRESS opening at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 4 September 2021. The show will star Lucie Jones as 'Jenna', Sandra Marvin as 'Becky', Evelyn Hoskins as 'Dawn' and Busted's Matt Willis as 'Dr Pomatter'.

PS CLASSICS has announced the release of All the Girls – the new album from Rebecca Luker and Sally Wilfert – on CD online and in stores today, Friday, March 5. It was released in digital and streaming formats in December. The album marks the final recording by Ms. Luker, a Broadway luminary for over 30 years, who passed away late last year.

Smoke from the Chimney started out as a number of unadorned voice and guitar demos from White’s home studio before being transformed into full band arrangements harkening back to the albums he recorded in the late 60s and early 70s.

The history of show business is loaded with couples who work as well offstage as they do on. These twosomes have brought their offstage magic to the stages of the cabaret and concert world.

In order to grow as an artist and theatre-maker, I need to separate success from happiness, and theatre from life.

Berkeley Rep's Artistic Director Johanna Pfaelzer today announced three additional virtual projects for the fall.
