Next Act Theatre to Host U.S. Premiere of DINNER WITH THE DUCHESS in Milwaukee

Next Act Theatre will conclude its 2025-26 season with the U.S. premiere of DINNER WITH THE DUCHESS, a drama by Nick Green, from April 22 to May 17, 2026, at their venue on 255 S. Water Street, Milwaukee. Directed by Samantha Martinson, the play features veteran actor Laura Gordon in a compelling role as Margaret, a violin virtuoso grappling with her legacy during her final interview. This marks the first U.S. staging of the play, following its initial production in Toronto by Here For Now Theat

American Players Theatre (APT) will open two more plays this week. In the Touchstone Theatre, The River Bride, directed by returning APT artist Robert Ramirez, will hold its official opening night on Sunday, June 25, 2022, at 2:00 pm following two previews. In the Hill Theatre, Sense and Sensibility, directed by Marti Lyons, will also open Sunday, June 25, 2022, at 8:00 pm.

Johnson - will be given its world premiere Off-Broadway at the Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam St. in Manhattan), with preview performances beginning March 1 prior to an official press opening March 6.   FIERCELY INDEPENDENT will play a five-week limited engagement through April 7, it has been announced by producer Michael Guccione.

The production will make its American debut January 5 - 8 at The David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, followed by a January 13 - 15 engagement at The Kennedy Center Opera House in Washington, D.C.
