Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced the recipients of the first and second rounds of the 2022-23 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards. The awards, totaling $725,000, allow 17 productions extra time for the development and rehearsal of new plays with the entire creative team, hoping to extend the life of the world premiere play after its first run. 

Broadstream and wild project will present the first season of WAY DOWN, a new musical web series featuring six original songs by Nini Camps, Stephen Kellogg, Deon’te Goodman, and Kent Coleman.

Holocaust Museum LA, in conjunction with the USC Polish Music Center, presents the Czarakcziew/Kowal Duo in concert Sunday, Jan. 8, at 4:30 p.m. at the museum.

The 10th anniversary edition of the 21C Music Festival, which begins with the Kronos Quartet residency and a special appearance by Tanya Tagaq in December, and includes more than 18 premieres, continues with eight more concerts in January 2023.

Called “the most promising young vocalist to come along so far this century” by The Wall Street Journal, Morgan James has revealed plans for a new album and tour in 2023.  Nobody’s Fool is due next spring, and the accompanying tour kicks off March 31 in Manchester, NH, and runs through May 23, 2023 in Baton Rouge.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Andrew Burnap will be Arthur, Phillipa Soo will be Guenevere, and Jordan Donica will be Lancelot Du Lac in its new version of Lerner & Loewe's Camelot, a fresh take on the classic tale.

The Los Angeles premiere of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! directed by Daniel Fish opens Thursday, September 15 at 8 p.m. at Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre. The tour will mark the first time a First-Class Equity production of Oklahoma! has toured North America in more than 40 years. This bold interpretation will play through October 16.
