The party's over... The American Theatre Wing's 73rd Annual Tony Awards, hosted by James Corden, aired live from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday night, honoring theatre professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway and wrapping up the 2018-19 awards season.

At the 73rd annual Tony Awards, the best and brightest of the Broadway season was on full display. The show featured performances from the season's shows, plus a slew of powerful wins and speeches. Jessica Paz and Nevin Steinberg have won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Sound Design of a Musical for HADESTOWN.

Lincoln Center today announced additional artists to the Out of Doors 2019 lineup. Blood Orangeperforms on August 1. Opening the night is singer and cellist Kelsey Lu. David Crosby & Friends and Tony-nominee Anais Mitchell complete the AMERICANAFEST NYC lineup, joining Patty Griffin and Yola on August 10-11.

Theatre production company Parity Productions has released its monthly list of Qualifying Productions for June -their popular directory of New York City shows in which the individual creative teams have 50% of the positions filled with women and/or trans and gender nonconforming (TGNC) artists (directors, designers, and playwrights).

LUMBERYARD Center for Film and Performing Arts's summer 2019 season will bring some of New York City's most exciting artists to the organization's state-of-the-art Hudson Valley facility, built just 101 miles from Manhattan to provide a crucial lifeline for the performing arts ecosystem. New American work and the institutions built to present it in NYC are more technologically advanced than ever before; however, there is a critical gap in the system, as artists can no longer transition from studio to theater with only a few days of technical rehearsal, and NYC presenters can't afford to close their doors for extended technical rehearsals.

Nominations for the 2019 Chita Rivera Awards were announced today. In keeping with the mission of the Chita Rivera Awards, nominators considered shows and films that opened during the 2018-2019 theater season.

The Broadway League announceS that Alex Brightman, currently starring in Beetlejuice, will host this year's STARS IN THE ALLEY free outdoor concert. Stars in the Alley will take place on Friday, May 10 at 1PM in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets.
