Fall has arrived and chilly weather means lots of time to snuggle under your favorite blanket with a great book. You're in luck, because this year, Broadway's best have put pen to paper to turn out theatre page-turners of every kind.

“There’s no point in anything because I am going to die” Sarah Kane says 4:48 Psychosis. Posthumously performed in 2000, the play is usually regarded as one of the greatest British playwright’s suicide note. A distressed mind, Kane took her own life at the age of 28 in 1999 and left an immense legacy behind. It has also somewhat become iconic since its debut at the Royal Court and much has been said about it. 

It takes big-time guts to bare your butt cheeks on stage, and these guys bare more than that. The good vibes -- and a good laugh -- are just the palette cleanse we all need after the year-and-a-half we’ve had.

Lehman Center for the Performing Arts is bringing back the music to the Bronx as they kick off their NEW 2021-22 SEASON with the Latin GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award winner, ANDY MONTAÑEZ, who will perform selections from his vast repertoire, with The MAMBO LEGENDS ORCHESTRA and PATTY PADILLA on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 at 8pm.

Memories are fickle things. We rehearse them, we shape them, and we eventually forget the original events and end up making new ones, filling the gaps with our experience of them rather than the actual occurrences. It’s the core concept of Shelagh Stephenson’s multi-awarded play, The Memory of Water. Premiered in 1996 on the Hampstead Theatre stage, it went on to win an Olivier in 2000, debut in the States, tour internationally, and even landed on the big screen in 2002 titled Before You Go directed by Lewis Gilbert.

After inclusion in numerous theatre festivals, Kevin Neighbors brings his solo show VERSATILE: stories from inside the closet of a half Black gay man to the Hollywood Fringe Festival for three performances August 5th, August 17th, and August 29th. Broadway's Best Shows has just announced a new premiere date for 'Show of Titles,' a musical extravaganza with dozens of Broadway stars performing the title songs from over 20 beloved musicals. 'Show of Titles' will premiere on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 7pm ET and be available for four days only. All proceeds will benefit The Actors Fund.

Sheffield Theatres today launches The Together Season Festival, a programme of work from local artists; curated by a panel of artists, audience members and theatre representatives. The Festival of thirteen works takes place from Monday 24 May – Saturday 5 June at the Crucible Theatre.

This week, Through our Women in Theatre Through the Decades features, we are be highlighting the impact of women in theatre such as Sutton Foster, Kelli O'Hara, Kathleen Marshall, Lynn Nottage and more!

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!

The winning plays, The Last Ship to Proxima Centauri by Greg Lam, In His Hands by Benjamin Benne, and Rx Machina by Caity-Shea Violette will be workshopped and given digital readings in the 32nd Annual Little Festival of the Unexpected over three weekends in March and April, starting March 12, 2021. The digital workshop performances are free and open to the public with registration.
