One of Houston's newest theatre companies, The Garden Theatre, has announced its plans to bring the stage version of a cult classic to life in Cruel Intentions: The '90s Musical at MATCH. Featuring the familiar story accompanied by '90s hits, the production will run November 18-27, 2022 at Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston (3400 Main St.) in the heart of midtown. This will be the first production of Cruel Intentions: The '90s Musical ever produced in Houston.

A brand-new Australian tour will kick off global celebrations in honour of iconic Rock 'N' Roll musical The Rocky Horror Show as it marks its 50th Anniversary in 2023. This brand new Australian production will open at Theatre Royal Sydney in February 2023 starring Australian superstars Jason Donovan as Frank N Furter, and Myf Warhurst as The Narrator. Joining them will be Ellis Dolan as Eddie/Dr Scott, Darcey Eagle as Columbia, Ethan Jones as Brad, Deirdre Khoo as Janet, Loredo Malcolm as Rocky and Henry Rollo as Riff Raff. Further exciting casting will be announced soon.

Among this season's highlights, Adelaide Festival Centre presents the 15th annual OzAsia Festival from 20 October to 6 November under Artistic Director Annette Shun Wah. Australia's leading contemporary arts festival engaging with Asia, this year's program features a bold and exciting lineup of award-winning artists performing dance, theatre, music and more.

Due to scheduling changes as a result of COVID-19, The Wedding Singer musical has set new dates for seasons opening across Sydney and Melbourne from January 2022.

With the plot of the 1999 cult hit Cruel Intentions as their starting point, the cast of powerhouse singers will sing the characters played in the film by Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillipe and others using songs that the characters would have sung in the movie, if it were a musical. Tony Award-winning producer Eva Price has announced a one-night-only event, CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE ‘90S MUSICAL, LIVE IN CONCERT will be presented on Sunday, December 19, 2021 for a live audience at The Bourbon Room in Los Angeles, and streamed worldwide on Stellar.

A production written by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin and Roger Kumble, the jukebox musical is backed by iconic music from the 1990's and based on the cult film.
