Selena Gomez has shared a new TikTok from the set of Only Murders In the Building, revealing that Meryl Streep has joined the cast of the upcoming season. The new video features Gomez with her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short, plus Paul Rudd, Andrea Martin, and Streep. They will be joined by Jesse Williams.

American Dance Machine for the 21st Century (ADM21) has announced a grant award totaling $30,000 from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) to support the recovery of the nonprofit arts and culture sector. Following New York State's historic investment for the arts, NYSCA has awarded $90 million since Spring 2022 to a record number of artists and organizations across the state. 

The Midnight Company will open its 2023 season with what is becoming the most highly anticipated event of the coming St. Louis theatre season.  The company’s first show is the world premiere of a theatrical cabaret show JUST ONE LOOK based on the life of pop superstar Linda Ronstadt written by Midnight’s artistic director Joe Hanrahan. In the 1970s Ronstadt was the queen of the pop charts and would sell out stadiums worldwide. Ronstadt’s hits included, “When Will I Be Loved,” “You’re No Good” “It’s so Easy,” “Poor Poor Pitiful Me,” “Blue Bayou” and dozens more hits that topped the pop charts. She was featured on the cover of The Rolling Stone magazine six times. When Cameron Crowe wrote his 1976 article for The Rolling Stone, Ronstadt had three consecutive platinum albums and there was no bigger name in music on the planet. BroadwayWorld had the opportunity to sit down with Kelly Howe who will play Linda Ronstadt and playwright, director and actor Joe Hanrahan who will play an aging reporter who finally gets his long-coveted interview with Ronstadt.

It is time to enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas with Sally Olson as Karen Carpenter and Ned Mills as Richard Carpenter starring in the debut of Carpenters Legacy: A Christmas Portrait recreating the nostalgia and joy of the Carpenters’ 1977 and 1978 Christmas television specials. Austrian violist Thomas Riebl will be performing a rare US concert as part of the Walter W. BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that conductor Everett Lee has died at age 105. Lee became the first African-American conductor to lead a production on Broadway in 1945's On The Town. He was also among the first Black conductors to lead a major opera company, conducting the New York City Opera's production of Verdi's 'La Traviata' in 1955.
