Haley Johnsen is a Portland, Oregon-born musician with a knack for genre-bending and a hard-earned career path that is uniquely her own. Raised listening to powerhouse singers such as Brandi Carlile, Grace Potter, Eva Cassidy, and Bonnie Raitt, her greatest inspirations become apparent in her soaring vocals, introspective lyricism, and cross-pollinated style of indie-pop, and bluesy folk rock music. Whether her songs muse on the aches of self-doubt, the joy that can accompany nostalgia, or simply trying to stay afloat in tough times, her bona fide songwriting combined with her performance ability is bound to evoke an emotional response. “I want my music to encourage people to push through their challenges and continue to have hope and belief in themselves and their authenticity,” she says.

Luminato Festival Toronto – the city’s international festival of arts and ideas – will return this summer from June 9th to June 19th with a bold line-up of exceptional art which will Reignite Toronto. Over the course of 11 days, Luminato will deliver a significant celebration of creativity that spans Toronto and the GTA in both familiar and unexpected places.

The new song from the Shreveport, Louisiana-based band – fronted by the gospel-trained powerhouse frontwoman and activist A.J. Haynes – follows previously released tracks “Good Day,” “Two of a Kind” and “Dark Matter.'' “Pleasure” continues Seratones’ unexpected fusion of disco-indebted vocals and buoyant synth rhythms.

Today, it was announced that the Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical, Kinky Boots, will return for a highly anticipated Off-Broadway engagement at Stage 42. Performances will begin on July 26th, with an opening night set for August 25th. Kinky Boots originally opened on April 4, 2013 and enjoyed a successful six-year Broadway run, and continues being presented all over the world.

Recorded at Basement Floods Records analog recording studio in Catskill, NY and produced by Dante Bardo, the forthcoming Bird Song is an album about building faith in something greater. Change, evolution and joy take real courage, and while some will be content to stay underwater, Bird Song sees Belle swim towards the surface.

When lead singer/lyricist Joy Deyo was writing the album, she was dealing with her own challenge, living with chronic pain from an illness that resisted proper diagnosis and treatment, and her experience of trying to learn to live with it informed her songwriting. 

This season looks to be very exciting at the FSCJ Artist Series with Broadway productions, concerts, ballets, operas, comedy shows, dance productions, school performances and variety shows.

Into The Blue will be available digitally and on limited edition colored vinyl via Enci Records in North America, Full Time Hobby in Europe and Soundly Distro in the rest of the world. 

The band’s new album arrives into a much different world this time around, and birthed a new energy for the band. Even during the worst times, music will find ways to inspire & thrive.

Drawing from the new wave and no wave traditions of bands like Joy Division, Talking Heads, and Suicide, Alexander and bandmates Kyle Grabski, Austin Harshman, and Jeremy Lentz then explode the results like fireworks in the night sky. 

Desert in, created by Darrah and collaborators, is a groundbreaking, eight-part operatic mini-series full of colorful and mysterious characters who populate a supernatural story of love, loss and the price of memories we struggle to keep.
