Renton Civic Theatre Presents Little Women: The Broadway Musical Renton, WA – This fall, Renton Civic Theatre is thrilled to present Little Women: The Broadway Musical. Louisa May Alcott’s classic story of girlhood, perseverance and finding oneself has captivated audiences since it was first released in 1868. The story follows the March sisters during the Civil War after the girls’ father heads off to support the war effort for the North. Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy are then left alone with their mother to navigate adolescence in the face of many challenges. Examining themes of self-determination, class, family and feminism, this beautiful story takes audiences through their lives in an ‘astonishing’ way. Little Women has been lovingly adapted into films, plays and musicals for more than a century as its timeless lessons continue to resonate with readers and audiences alike. This stage version, directed by Taylor Davis-Schupbach, features a stunning score and songs that have become beloved classics since this musical debuted in 2005. Renton Civic Theatre invites both longtime book lovers and theatregoers alike to experience this classic story live on stage this September. Book by Allan Knee
