Through February 21st, El Dorado Musical Theatre will be performing the classic musical, Grease, at Oak Ridge High School Theatre.  With a cast ages 14-20, remaining performances include February 19th at 7PM, 20th at 2PM and 7PM, and 21st at 2PM.  Tickets are $12-$25 and can be purchased by calling(916) 941-SING (7464) or by visiting www.edmttickets.com/tix/index.php.

The musical, set in 1959 at fictional Rydell High School, follows ten working-class kids as they navigate the complexities of love, cars, and drive-ins. The score attempts to re-create the sounds of early rock and roll.  When it closed on Broadway in 1980, Grease's 3,388-performance run was the longest yet in Broadway history, although it was surpassed by A Chorus Line a few years later. It went on to become a West End hit, a hugely successful film, and a staple of regional theatre, summer stock, and high school drama groups. It remains Broadway's thirteenth longest-running show.

El Dorado Musical Theatre is an award-winning, regional youth theater based in El Dorado Hills, California. (About a 20 minute drive East of Sacramento.  EDMT was founded in 2001 and is a 501c(3) Non-Profit Corporation that provides instruction and performance opportunities in theatrical productions.
