FHCT Celebrates FHCT ariZoni Wins

The 20th annual ariZoni Theatre Awards of Excellence ceremony was held on Monday, September 20th at the Tempe Center for the Arts. Almost fifty theater companies are members of the ariZoni's and are adjudicated each year, competing for best performance and production awards. These include best actors, actresses, directors, musical directors, choreographers, set, costume, lighting and sound designers and properties.

 Fountain Hills Community Theater was proud to have received fifty nominations this year and to have won 10 awards, divided between its Youth and Mainstage theaters. From the Youth Theater, three young actors were recognized for their performances; Zach Percevecz and Lindsey Garland for their leading roles in WhoWhatWhenWhyHow! and Patrick Moyse for his supporting role in The Nutcracker. Awards for the Mainstage were; Jack Pauly for his leading role as Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady, FHCT Artistic Director Peter J. Hill for Best Original Script for a Musical for Midsummer Dreamin' and Best Set Design for My Fair Lady. You Can't Take it With You garnished several awards including; Patricia and Travis Tonzi for Best Costume Design, Steve Metcalf for Best Sound Design and Alisa Feugate for Best Property Design. Bob and Alisa Feugate also won Best Property Design for My Fair Lady.

FHCT is proud to be a part of the wonderful Valley Theater community and thankful to all the performers, production crews, designers, choreographers, directors and musical directors who make it possible for us to continue producing excellent theater.
