THE LANGUAGE ARCHIVE is coming to the Spring Garden Mill

Langhorne Players’ third production of their 2025 Season is Julia Cho’s THE LANGUAGE ARCHIVE. This heartfelt and modern play blends language and love in a story about our universal quest for human connection. George, a top linguist specializing in dying languages, is left in turmoil when his wife leaves him...twice. Will George find his way back to truly connecting with his wife Mary? Will an elderly couple (the last remaining speakers of their language), his assistant Emma (who secretly admires him), or Mary help George discover where things went awry? Or, will George's journey lead him to find an even deeper and more meaningful understanding of what it means to connect with himself and those around him?

From the Director: “I was drawn to The Language Archive by its promise of a story centered around linguistics and the use of language in the quest for human connection. What really resonated with me, and what I also believe will resonate with audiences, is how a seemingly universal theme can continue to challenge our notions of what it means to feel truly understood. Audiences are in for a unique and thrilling experience, watching these remarkably talented actors inhabit characters whose lives are greatly altered--and enriched--by the unplanned, unexpected, and even heretofore taken for granted people around them. Please join us!”
