Chicago the Musical has released a new video of Alex Newell singing 'When You're Good to Mama.' Newell recently joined the show alongside Tony-nominee Kate Baldwin as 'Roxie Hart.'

Last night, September 12, Angelica Ross ('Pose,' 'American Horror Story') made her Broadway debut in the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago.  Also joining the company on Monday were Brandon Victor Dixon in the role of 'Billy Flynn' and Amra-Faye Wright who returned to the role of 'Velma Kelly'. Chicago will celebrate 25 years on Broadway tomorrow Tuesday, November 16th at 6:30PM with a very special performance. Beginning at 5PM on the TKTS Red Steps in Times Square the Brooklyn United Marching Band will march to 49th Street playing Kander & Ebb music. The Ambassador Theatre will be lit in red with a star-studded red carpet. 

Yesterday was good, grand, and great- wasn't it? After an 18-month long shutdown, four Broadway musicals re-opened last night, and one of them was the Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago. At tonight's reopening of Broadway's Chicago, the show's director Walter Bobbie paid tribute to the production's legendary choreographer and original star, Ann Reinking, who passed away in December 2020.
