This October, the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize salutes Will Ferrell. The program airs Monday, October 31 at 9 p.m. ET on PBS stations nationwide. Taped at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on October 23, the 90-minute special features a star-studded cast of Ferrell's friends and colleagues including top entertainers Billie Joe Armstrong of the band Green Day, Ed Asner, Jack Black, Matthew Broderick, Gwen Ifill, Adam McKay, Tim Meadows, Conan O'Brien, John C. Reilly, Paul Rudd, Andy Samberg, Molly Shannon and Ben Stiller. The evening pays tribute to the humor and accomplishments of the television icon and motion picture star.
Play Dead, the Off-Broadway comic thriller co-written and directed by Teller (of Penn & Teller) and co-written & performed by Todd Robbins is now playing an open-ended run at The Player's Theater. The recipient of a 2011 Drama Desk nomination for Unique Theatrical Experience, the show also features Geri Berman, Charlotte Pines, Drea Lorraine and Don Meehan. As viewers and now non-viewers alike know, Conan O'Brien has enjoyed parodying Julie Taymor's production of SPIDER-MAN regularly on his late night show. In fact, as BroadwayWorld has previously reported, the team behind the Broadway musical SPIDER-MAN hasn't been amused by the constant late-night jokes about the show and recently sent bouquet of flowers from the production which said, 'We hope you enjoy the flowers. It was cheaper than a cease-and-desist.'

On Monday, June 1, Conan O'Brien kicked-off the Radio City Music Hall stint as part of his 'Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television' tour. An ode to the life changing events of his past year, the show makes light of O'Brien's resignation from his position as host of The Tonight Show in January 2010 for Jay Leno. O'Brien's settlement with NBC bars him from appearing on television as the host of a program until September 2010, however is permitted to perform before a live audience in a concert setting. 'Legally Prohibited' incorporates video bits from his past television segments, musical and comic performers, and cameo appearances by celebrities.
