Earlier tonight at the 76th Annual Tony Awards, Miriam Silverman took home a Tony Award for 'Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play' for her outstanding work in The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window (currently running at the James Earl Jones Theatre). After leaving the stage at the United Palace, Miriam checked it with BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge to share her initial reaction!

 Last night, EGOT winner Rita Moreno attended Lorraine Hansberry’s The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window after originating the role of “Iris” in the original Broadway production in 1964. Today we rewind to 2017 for the Encores! Off-Center production of Assassins- Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's carnival ride through the history of political violence.

Following a performance last weekend, Sondheim and John Weidman sat down with Encores! Off-Center Artistic Director Anne Kauffman and Director Will Davis to discuss  the show's journey from conception to stage.

Working: A Musical evokes the unsung nobility of American workers-from the hardworking waitress to the worn out millworker. A living, breathing testament to the people who make this country run, the Off-Center production will incorporate stories from City Center's employees in celebration of the 75th Anniversary Season, acting as a time capsule for the landmark occasion.

Tomorrow night, Jaap van Zweden and the New York Philharmonic will premiere Pulitzer Prize-winning composerJulia Wolfe's Fire in my mouth, part of New York Stories: Threads of Our City, two weeks of concerts and events examining NYC's roots as a city of immigrants.

La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for Hundred Days, book by The Bengsons and Sarah Gancher, music and lyrics by The Bengsons, directed by Anne Kauffman, with movement direction by Sonya Tayeh. Nominated for a 2018 Lucille Lortel Award, Hundred Days runs in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Forum September 22 - October 21.
