Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will begin a new chapter this December as Alicia Graf Mack leads her first season as Artistic Director. The company’s 2025 engagement at New York City Center will feature world premieres, a company premiere by Medhi Walerski, and a new production of Judith Jamison’s A Case of You.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will launch its five-week holiday engagement at New York City Center with an Opening Night Gala on December 3, marking the first season under Artistic Director Alicia Graf Mack.

The daytime show “Tamron Hall” will make its return for its seventh season on Monday, Sept. 8. The forthcoming season kicks off with exclusive interviews with Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors, Priscilla Presley, Jodie Turner-Smith, and more.

Insecure album Mason McCulley has announced a stage production Carole Cook Died For My Sins will have its world premiere at the Skylight Theatre in Los Angeles this fall.

NICE CROWD, formerly ABFF Ventures, today announced the exceptional artists that will participate in the upcoming Because They're Funny (BTF) Comedy Festival, a three-day festival showcasing comedic talent within BIPOC communities. Taking place October 6-8, 2023 at The Wharf on DC's southwest waterfront, BTF will feature Anthony Anderson and Maryland-native Yvonne Orji as well as performances by Nicole Byer and Donnell Rawlings, among others.

My Dad the Bounty Hunter is an animated action-comedy series following close siblings Lisa and Sean, who stow away on their dad’s latest work trip. The voice cast of the series includes Laz Alonso, Yvonne Orji, Priah Ferguson, Yvette Nicole Brown, JeCobi Swain, Leslie Uggams, Rob Riggle, Jim Rash and Jamie Chung. Watch the video trailer now!

Directed by Tim Story (Ride Along, Think Like A Man, Barbershop) and co-written by Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip, Harlem) and Dewayne Perkins (“The Amber Ruffin Show,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), The Blackening skewers genre tropes and poses the sardonic question: if the entire cast of a horror movie is Black, who dies first?

Among the members who signed the statement of support for the CROWN Act are Audra McDonald, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Kerry Washington, and dozens of other performers. In the letter, members assert, “Discrimination based on hair style or texture is a destructive practice that has alienated and caused irreparable harm to Black Americans.”
