Syracuse Stage has revealed its 2026/27 season, featuring acclaimed comedies, contemporary dramas, exciting producing partnerships and two world premieres. 

Grand Rapids Civic Theatre will present a special centennial season featuring a lineup of classic and contemporary shows, marking a century of theatrical excellence.

Houston Broadway Theatre will present two productions for 2026 with Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame at the Wortham Center, and Falsettos, playing this spring.

The musical theatre production Les Misérables – The Arena Spectacular will be presented at the Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands from March 24 through April 19, 2026, as part of its international tour.

The internationally acclaimed musical Les Misérables: The World Tour Spectacular will open in Manila on Jan. 20, 2026, with a run through March 1 at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City.

Les Misérables has seen major success in China with the launch of its staged concert production at Shanghai Grand Theatre, reports China Daily. The musical began performances on November 4 and will run through December 28 as part of the “See You in Shanghai!” initiative from SMG Live.

Morte e Vida Severina, João Cabral de Melo Neto’s seminal poem about a migrant’s journey through the Brazilian Northeast, returns to the stage in a new production by Companhia Ensaio Aberto at Teatro Paulo Autran – Sesc Pinheiros. The staging features Chico Buarque’s iconic score, with 25 actors, four musicians. Revisiting themes of hunger, migration and resilience, the piece underscores the enduring relevance of Severino’s journey — a story rooted in Brazil yet resonant with global struggles today.

Now touring North America, this updated version of the beloved musical has been crafted by producer Cameron MacIntosh.
