Next week, 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond. A recipient of the 2022 Tony Awards Honor for Excellence in the Theatre, 54 Below celebrates Broadway musicals and writers of the past and present, promoting an ongoing engagement with their work.

54 Below will have two Tonys next week when Tony Yazbeck plays Broadway's Living Room for two nights.

Next month, 54 BELOW will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond, including solo performances from Tony Award-winners Patti LuPone and  John Lloyd Young and Tony-nominee Tony Yazbeck. See the full lineup below!

PS CLASSICS has released the second solo album by Victoria Clark, the Tony Award-winning actress who opened recently on Broadway in the acclaimed new musical Kimberly Akimbo. December Songs for Voice and Orchestra – a sumptuous reinvention of Maury Yeston’s beloved song cycle, is reimagined here by Clark and a 37-piece orchestra.

PS CLASSICS, the label dedicated to the heritage of Broadway and American popular song, has released the second solo album by Victoria Clark, the Tony Award-winning actress who opened last night on Broadway in the acclaimed new musical Kimberly Akimbo.

Other Lives: The Story Songs of Michael Colby, a mélange of melody and tour de force performances featuring lyrics by Michael Colby, will be presented as part of Urban Stages 2022 “Winter Rhythms” series, produced by Tom Toce and Sue Matsuki, on Sunday, December 11 at 3pm and Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 7pm at Urban Stages Theater 

PS CLASSICS has announced that the new album December Songs for Voice and Orchestra – performed by Victoria Clark and composed by Maury Yeston – is now available for iTunes Pre-Order.

Anthony Rapp ('Rent'), Elizabeth Stanley ('Jagged Little Pill'), Tony Yazbeck ('Flying Over Sunset'), Max Von Essen ('Anastasia'), Alexandra Silber ('Fiddler On The Roof'), Major Attaway ('Aladdin'), and Becky Gulsvig ('Come From Away') will perform at the 55th annual gala of the Greater New York Chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Cipriani South Street.

54 BELOW  will welcome Tony Award nominee Tony Yazbeck. The beloved leading man returns to the 54 Below stage January 9 & 10 at 7:00pm.

BroadwayWorld has obtained a copy of the lawsuit in which Laura Osnes accuses the New York Post of defamation with respect to an article they published on August 12, 2021. The article, written by Ian Mohr and Oli Coleman, stated that Osnes was fired from a benefit performance of Crazy For You at Guild Hall because she was unvaccinated. 

Two Worlds Entertainment, a twenty first century think-tank committed to provide the local community with theater based educational initiatives, will host Triple Threat: The Audition Experience Workshop with Broadway artists on Sunday September 18th for students in the tri-state area at the Tarrytown Music Hall. 

Abingdon Theatre Company has announced casting for their upcoming 30th Anniversary Gala on Monday, October 24 at The Edison Ballroom. Stars will come out to celebrate Abingdon’s milestone 30th anniversary as ATC honors Tony Award nominee David Zippel and ATC Board President DMW Greer. 

For one afternoon only, a cast of Broadway performers led by acclaimed conductor, music director, orchestrator, composer, arranger, and Arts Ignite Founder, Mary-Mitchell Campbell (The Prom, Mean Girls, Company) will gather for an arts education celebration called Our Stories, Our Songs on September 18, 2022 at 3:00pm at Ramscale Studio (463 West St, New York, NY).

Dancers over 40 presented a sold out one-night-only special event: A Toast to Harvey - Celebrating the Life and Career of Harvey Evans on Wednesday, June 22nd, 6 – 9PM at The Triad Theatre. The evening was hosted by Broadway legend, Lee Roy Reams and featured performances and remembrances by Jim Brochu, Anita Gillette, Kurt Peterson, Marianne Tatum, Penny Worth and Tony Yazbeck.

Winners for the 2022 Chita Rivera Awards have been announced! In keeping with the mission of the Chita Rivera Awards, nominators considered outstanding choreography, featured dancers, and ensemble in shows on Broadway and Off Broadway, as well as outstanding choreography in film that opened pre-Covid as well as in the 2021-2022 season.
